Cheryl has been receiving NDIS Coordination of Supports with Hunter Care Group for the past four years. Those who have had the pleasure of meeting Cheryl will remember her for her humour, kindness, creativity, and overall beautiful nature. ❤
Cheryl faces ongoing challenges due to her diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and the impact it has on her daily life. In 2021, Cheryl’s COS connected her with the Happy Paws Happy Hearts Foundation In-Shelter program, a unique NDIS group program. This program offers a special twist on animal therapy by providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to spend time with a variety of animals at RSPCA rescue shelters and wildlife sanctuaries.
The In-Shelter program has brought a renewed sense of purpose to Cheryl’s life and has had a significant positive impact on her mental and physical health. Cheryl is now proud to be a volunteer with the program, where she takes joy in assisting others with their learning and making everyone feel comfortable. She has also dedicated her time to organising fundraisers and donations for the program!
Congratulations to Cheryl and all the team members involved in achieving this remarkable outcome! Your efforts have made a real difference in Cheryl’s life and are truly commendable. ❤
