One of our Supported Independent Living residents, Gavin, recently achieved a huge personal goal of attending a concert by one of his favourite bands, Metallica. 🎶🔥
Getting there was not a simple path. Gavin experiences challenges with mobility due to an ABI, so attending a large and crowded event was not easy. It was something he truly wanted to do, and the team were determined to help him get there. 💙
With support from his SIL team at Hunter Care Group and his Occupational Therapist Katie from New Ability Health, plenty of preparation and planning took place in the lead up to the concert.
The result was perfect. Gavin had an incredible night with no issues at all. The smile on his face says everything. 😁🎤
Well done Gavin and well done to the team who supported him. It is a privilege to see him achieve one of his big goals. 👏🌟
