Susie, a resident in one of our Supported Independent Living homes, has recently created something truly special. With her own imagination and the support of her team, she designed and built her very own fairy garden right at home. 🧚🌿Susie’s journey has not always been easy. Before moving into SIL, she experienced a difficult chapter in life. Since transitioning into her home with Hunter Care Group three years ago, the growth we have seen in her confidence, independence, and sense of belonging has been incredible. 💙
This fairy garden is more than just a beautiful project. It represents Susie making the space her own, expressing creativity, and building pride in where she lives.
At HCG, our SIL model encourages every resident to truly feel at home. That means having the freedom to personalise their space, add to the gardens, decorate, and shape their environment in ways that reflect who they are. Susie’s garden is a perfect example of that. 🌷🏡
