Today was a fantastic example of what quality collaboration can achieve, with Hunter Care Group partnering with nib Thrive and Diabetes Australia to deliver specialised Diabetes Management training to 50 of our frontline staff, with the training supported by nib foundation. 👏
With approximately 20% of participants across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services living with diabetes, ensuring our teams have the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide safe, effective and individualised support is incredibly important.
Today’s training provided a valuable opportunity for our staff to learn directly from specialists at Diabetes Australia, strengthening their understanding of diabetes management and how this translates into the everyday supports we provide.
