Victoria cross recipients hold historic meeting on Australian soil

The Commonwealth’s most decorated servicemen and civilians have come together for the first time on Australian soil. Victoria Cross recipients from Australia, New Zealand, Nepal and the United Kingdom normally only meet biennially with the Queen in London. This year they attended the annual Digger Day event in Nowra on the New South Wales south coast, which raised funds for returned veterans and marked 100 years since the end of World War I.
